Thank you for booking your appointment with Meersman Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine PLLC!. Your time is reserved just for you. Thus, we have the following policies in place to ensure we can provide you the best experience:
NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENTS: If you are NEW to our office, please schedule an ACUPUNCTURE INITIAL. After booking your visit, please complete the initial paperwork attached to your appointment. If you’re under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian is required to be present for your New Patient Appointment.
INSURANCE: Meersman Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine PLLC is currently accepting BCBS PPO. HSA or FSA cards can also be used to complete the transaction. The office can provide any receipt as need.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel or move your appointment, 12 hours of advanced notice is required. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a fee equal to the cost of the visit.
LATE POLICY: If you are 15 minutes or later to scheduled appointment time, you will be rescheduled to another time and subject to a fee 50% of your service.

Kathleen Meersman, DACM, Diplo.OM, LAc, FEA, is a board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She completed her doctorate at Pacific College of Health and Science, Chicago after receiving a B.A in Biology at Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Kathleen values treating the root of the problem verses just the symptoms. She enjoys treating a wide range of issues including gastrointestinal, psycho-emotional, women’s health, and pain management. She is trained in Facial Enhancing Acupuncture after being certified in November 2021.
Kathleen started her journey with acupuncture at a young age to help treat her anxiety and digestive issues. The success of acupuncture and herbal medicine sparked her interest in providing a holistic approach in healing the body to optimize health outcomes.

Revital Peremen
Revital offers a distinctive approach to healthcare, providing a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Revital moved to the United States to pursue a graduate degree in Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After several years in medical marketing research, she rediscovered her passion for integrative and holistic medicine, ultimately becoming a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist.
In addition to acupuncture, Revital is a certified Asian Bodywork Therapist, specializing in Tui-na (Chinese medical massage) with advanced training in Pediatric Tui-na. This therapeutic technique influences the body’s energetic flow and circulation in a manner similar to acupuncture, but through manual massage and other techniques, rather than needles. Revital also has a strong interest in Thai Bodywork, or Thai Yoga Massage, having studied the practice both in Chicago and Thailand.
With a background as an elementary school teacher, Revital has a deep appreciation for working with children of all ages. She believes in empowering parents with the knowledge and skills to support their children’s health at home, making family-centered care a cornerstone of her pediatric practice.
